Maafushi is located  near the Ibrahim Nasiru International Airport and Male' the capital city of the Republic of Maldives. By speed boat it takes 30 minutes to reach Maafushi.   Daily schedule ferries are also available from Male' to Maafushi to Male' except Friday. It takes one and a half hours to reach Maafushi by ferry. The ticket price is $3 per person per trip at the ferry.
